There are apparently big concerns about Said Benrahma and Manuel Lanzini behind closed doors at West Ham United.
That’s according to a report from The Times who claim that both Hammers players could be moved on by David Moyes this summer.

Moyes has been a very busy man in the transfer market this summer already. He has brought in seven new signings as well as bringing talented youngster Patrick Kelly to the London Stadium.

West Ham are in talks to sign Lucas Paqueta from Lyon as well (L’Equipe).
If the 24-year-old is brought to the club though, there may be one or two casualties…
Lanzini and Benrahma could make way for Paqueta
According to The Times, the Hammers duo could both be moved on this summer, or at least one of them, if Paqueta is signed.
There are apparently big concerns about the 27-year-old Algerian and the 29-year-old Argentinian behind closed doors at the London Stadium.
Lanzini was signed for around £9 million on a permanent deal six years ago (The Mirror), whilst Benrahma joined West Ham for around £30 million from Brentford in January 2021 (The Daily Mail).
Lanzini was fantastic for the Hammers up until he summer of 2018 when he suffered a crushing ACL injury during the build-up to the World Cup out in Russia. He has struggled to return to his best since then, although he has shown glimpses of his undoubted quality, albeit not on a very consistent basis.

Meanwhile, Benrahma has flattered to deceive on the most part since moving to the London Stadium.
Some will argue that David Moyes’s treatment of the 27-year-old hasn’t been great, and there’s certainly merit to that point. That debate is for another day though. The bottom line is that the Algerian winger just hasn’t produced the goods regularly enough.
If West Ham could get anywhere near the £39 million that they paid for both Lanzini and Benrahma this summer, it may well be the smart call to move them on. Only if Paqueta is signed, as well as one other attacking midfielder.
Only time will tell whether Moyes is ready to give up on both players just yet though.
