West Ham United allegedly want to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, in addition to Hans Vanaken this summer.

That’s according to a report from The Evening Standard who claim that the Hammers could sign Gallagher on loan from Chelsea before deadline day.

However, it has also been suggested that Chelsea could sell the 22-year-old if their £35 million valuation is met (The Daily Mail).

West Ham boss David Moyes desperately needs to add more energy, athleticism and creativity to his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium.

Hans Vanaken seems to be someone who Moyes really wants to sign (Nieuwsblad), but its seems as though the Scot is setting his sights closer to home as well…

West Ham eyeing up Conor Gallagher swoop

The Evening Standard reckon that the Hammers signing the 22-year-old will not stop Moyes trying to bring Gallagher to the London Stadium as well.

This would be such a great signing for the club.

The four-capped England international would be a fine addition for West Ham, that goes without saying.

Gallagher was brilliant during his loan spell with Crystal Palace last season.

He has bagged eight goals and three assists in 34 Premier League games for Palace (Transfermarkt).

During those appearances, the 22-year-old averaged 2.4 tackles, 1.7 dribbles and 1.3 key passes per game (Who Scored).

He has incredible energy, drive, passion, determination and commitment to the cause. On top of all that as well, Gallagher is incredibly gifted from a technical perspective.

He’s been described as an ‘immense talent’ by Sport Bible.

The Englishman is obviously very highly rated at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will demand around £40 million for the 22-year-old’s signature (The Express).

It’s highly unlikely that West Ham will be prepared to pay that kind of money for Conor Gallagher this summer but perhaps a season-long loan deal with an option to buy him next year would be the ideal solution for all parties involved.

Hopefully Moyes gets this one done. Gallagher would be an immense signing for the Hammers.
