West Ham United boss David Moyes is apparently ready to sell three of his players in order to secure the funds to sign Santiago Gimenez in January.

Santiago Gimenez is a key transfer target for West Ham in the January transfer window, and David Moyes apparently has been closely watching the Feyenoord striker recently.

The Hammers manager is clearly desperate to bring a top-class centre-forward to the London Stadium this winter, and the latest claim suggests that the Scot is prepared to go to great lengths to make it happen.

According to a report from Football Insider, Moyes is ready to sell three key first-team players to fund a move to sign the Mexican hitman.

The West Ham boss is ready to move on Said Benrahma, Danny Ings and Nayef Aguerd in January in order to raise the money needed to prise Gimenez away from Feyenoord.

Football Insider allege that the 22-year-old will cost around £30-40 million, and with the Hammers in desperate need of a centre-forward, Moyes seems to be set to go all out to sign the striker…

West Ham chasing Santiago Gimenez

If the Hammers sell Benrahma, Ings and Aguerd this month and sign Gimenez, it will be good business for us, as long as Moyes brings in a centre-back to cover the Moroccan’s exit of course.

Gimenez would take us to a whole new level as a team in my opinion.

The 22-year-old has bagged 20 goals and five assists in 22 games for Feyenoord so far this season (Transfermarkt).

Hammers linked Arne Slot recently described the Feyenoord forward as ‘special’, when speaking to Feyenoord.nl back in April, and he’s absolutely bang on the money.

He is quick, incredibly strong and a superb finisher. The Mexican has all of the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League, what with his strength, aerial ability and tight ball control.

Santiago Gimenez is probably the best all-round striker that West Ham have been linked with in recent times, and he’d be a good fit for Moyes’s system.

It remains to be seen whether the Hammers are able to raise the £30 million-40 million needed to sign the talented 22-year-old forward in the January window though.
