West Ham reporter close to David Sullivan makes big Arne Slot claim

Arne Slot is someone who the West Ham United owners would consider as a potential replacement for David Moyes.

Claret and Hugh, who have close links to David Sullivan, claim that West Ham are certainly aware of Feyenoord manager Arne Slot, as David Moyes continues to feel the pressure at the London Stadium.

It is suggested that the Hammers owners are impressed by what the 44-year-old has done during his time in Feyenoord, and believe that the football deployed by the Dutchman is more befitting of a West Ham team.

Moyes clearly isn’t going anywhere between now and the end of the season. And the Scot could still end up guiding us to a mid-table finish in the Premier League and our first trophy for 43 years.

Even if that does happen, it has been claimed that the 59-year-old will be moved on at the end of the season.

And Slot is someone who the Hammers owners have their eye on to replace Moyes…

West Ham owners are big fans of Arne Slot

Claret and Hugh reckon that the Feyenoord boss is on the Hammers’ radar.

It was recently claimed that West Ham have a grand plan to prise Slot away from the Dutch giants in the summer.

And it seems as though the football that the Dutchman deploys is the thing that has really caught the Hammers’ owners eyes.

He really is one of the most exciting up and coming managers in the game today.

Slot took over at Feyenoord in the summer of 2021 and has taken the Dutch giants to another level in under two years.

He guided them to a third place finish in his first season at De Kuip. The Dutchman also took his side to the Europa Conference League final last season, only to lose to Roma in the final, but things have got even better since then.

Feyenoord currently sit top of the table, with an eight point lead over second placed Ajax with only five games left to play this season.

Slot deploys an attacking brand of free-flowing football at Feyenoord and I think he’d be the ideal man to usher West Ham into an exciting new era of success.

He predominantly uses a 4-2-3-1 system but also switches up to a 4-3-3 at times. Slot’s managerial style has been likened to Marcelo Bielsa.

The Feyenoord boss likes his full-backs to push high up the pitch with his two centre-back’s splitting and a ‘ball-playing’ goalkeeper essentially becoming a third defender.

He is definitely a manager with an innovative, fresh approach to the game and he could work wonders at the London Stadium.

However, it was recently claimed that Slot would prefer to take over at Tottenham this summer.

So the Hammers owners will certainly have their work cut-out if Spurs do in fact make a move for the Dutchman.

Despite that, West Ham should still be going all out to appoint Arne Slot this summer. The difference in the football that we are continually served up under Moyes would be like night and day.
