According to a report from the Guardian, the Hammers enquired about bringing the Spaniard to the London Stadium, but didn’t get anywhere in the end.
The 52-year-old has won pretty much all there is to win in the game.
He led his magnificent Barcelona team to two La Liga titles, three Copa Del Rey triumphs and a Champions League success in 2015.
Enrique is obviously a brilliant manager and has always got his teams playing an attacking brand of exciting, free-flowing football.

It’s no surprise to me that he didn’t entertain the idea of taking over at West Ham though. Enrique really is one of the most blockbuster names in the managerial world.
We might be big club with huge potential but as things stand, we are in somewhat of a mess.
Hopefully the Hammers turned the corner with the superb comeback draw at the London Stadium against Arsenal yesterday afternoon.
That said, managers like Luis Enrique are clearly out of our league at this moment in time.
