Be prepared to see us linked with numerous different central defenders between now and the end of the next month!
And the latest name is currently plying his trade in Serie A.
West Ham eyeing January transfer window swoop for Brazilian ace Gleison Bremer
Calciomercato.it reckon that the 24-year-old Torino ace is one of three players currently operating in Italy who is attracting the attention of David Moyes.
We think that the Brazilian would be an excellent acquisition for West Ham.
Bremer was in fine form in Italy last season.
In 33 Serie A appearances last term, the Brazilian scored five goals.
In those outings, the 6ft 2in centre-back has averaged 1.5 tackles, 2.1 interceptions, 4.1 clearances and 0.6 blocks per game. He also won an average of 2.9 aerial duals per match (Who Scored).
Bremer is very comfortable with the ball at his feet as well. In 33 league games, the Torino defender averaged 50.2 passes per match with a very impressive completion rate of 82.7% (Who Scored).
This season, Bremer has comfortably improved in all of those statistical categories.
In 15 Serie A outings for Torino, the 24-year-old has averaged two tackles, 3.7 interceptions and 4.2 clearances. He has also won an average of 4.1 aerial duals per game (Who Scored).
Standing at 6ft 2in tall and with a great leap, Bremer is very strong in the air. He is also quick along the ground and is a tenacious tackler.
The South American has been described as Torino’s ‘jewel in the crown’ by Transfer Market Web.
It seems as though he would be absolutely ideally suited to West Ham.
The Brazilian is valued at around €18 million (£15.4 million) according to Calciomercato.it. That sounds like outstanding for West Ham.
