The Hammers have made contact with the Swiss side and the Brazilian hitman’s agents regarding a January move to bring him to the London Stadium.

West Ham boss David Moyes desperately needs to bring a top-class centre-forward to the London Stadium next month.

The Scot needs to provide more competition and cover for Michail Antonio.

And it seems as though Moyes has identified the man for the job.

West Ham to sign Cabral?

Goal reckon that the Hammers have made contact with the Swiss club regarding a potential January move to sign the prolific 23-year-old.

We think that Cabral would be an exceptional addition for West Ham.

The 23-year-old Brazilian has been on fire for Basel this season, bagging 25 goals and eight assists in just 26 games in all competitions (Transfermarkt).

Cabral is energetic, dynamic, have great movement and is an exemplary finisher. The one red flag for West Ham is that he isn’t the fastest.

That may be somewhat of a concern considering how crucial pace is in the Premier League.

In spite of his lack of pace, we still believe that he would be the ideal January addition for West Ham.

Hammers News recently spoke with 4-4-2.CH writer Andre Oechsner who told us that Cabral could be available for around €20 million (£17 million) next month.

That seems like very good value to us considering the Brazilian’s incredible goal record.

And if Moyes manages to bring the Basel ace to the London Stadium in January, as well as another top-class centre-back, we should be in a very strong position to push on for a place inside the top four come May.
