The Hammers thoroughly deserved the three points in the end having twice battled back from losing positions.

We weren’t anywhere near our best, certainly in the first-half.

Thomas Tuchel looked stunned at full-time. It’s the first time this season that Chelsea have conceded more than one goal in a single game.

Declan Rice played a key role for the Hammers today.

He was at his outstanding best once again apart from about five seconds during the first-half when his mis-placed pass ended up with Chelsea scoring their second goal.

Declan Rice takes to Twitter after West Ham beat Chelsea

The Hammers skipper has been our best and most consistent player by a long way this season.

He is absolutely adored by the London Stadium faithful and the feeling is mutual.

Dec is clearly loving being at West Ham at the moment. And he took to Twitter after our win over Chelsea today:

It’s so good to see Dec happy and enjoying his football.

Beating the club that released him when he was just 14 would have been very sweet for Rice today. It was a huge result for West Ham and kept us in real contention for the top four.
