West Ham may face an impossible task as AC Milan reportedly eye a January swoop for ‘extraordinary’ Spezia ace Jakub Kiwior.

That’s according to a report from Italian publication Calciomercato who claim that AC Milan are very keen to sign the Hammers target in the January transfer window.

West Ham allegedly had a £10 million bid for Kiwior rejected by Spezia in the summer transfer window.

And we are still interested in signing the Polish centre-back according to Calciomercato.

West Ham will really have our work cut out now though, with Italian giants AC Milan chasing his signature.

That’s a real shame because we think that Kiwior would be a very smart addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium…

West Ham face impossible task as AC Milan eye January swoop for ‘extraordinary’ Kiwior

According to a report from Calciomercato, AC Milan are the leading contenders to sign the Poland international defender in the January transfer window.

West Ham are still said to be in the mix for Kiwior’s signature though, so let’s just hope that Moyes manages to pull this one off.

The Spezia centre-back would be a superb addition for the Hammers in January in my opinion.

He has been described as Poland’s most sought-after player.

Kiwior is obviously a huge talent, and Robert Lewandowski recently raved about his countryman, labelling him as ‘extraordinary’.

He is a left-footed centre-back but can operate as a defensive midfielder as well, and that versatility would obviously appeal to Moyes.

In 22 Serie A appearances last season, Kiwior averaged 2.3 tackles, 1.8 interceptions and 2.2 clearances per game (Who Scored).

The Polish ace stands at 6ft 2in tall and is very energetic and mobile.

The Spezia defender is a proper athlete, but it must be said that he is totally unproven in the Premier League. Players a lot better than Kiwior have arrived in the Premier League and failed to succeed.

However, Kiwior does seem to have all the attributes needed to succeed in England. So I believe that Moyes should sign the Polish ace in January.

He allegedly could be available for around £16 million in January – a real bargain, considering his undoubtedly quality.

However, West Ham may well face an impossible task with AC Milan chasing the Spezia star’s signature.
