Pablo Fornals names the West Ham new signing who has really impressed him already

Pablo Fornals has been really impressed by Gianluca Scamacca, since the Italian striker arrived at West Ham United in the summer.

The 23-year-old joined the Hammers from Sassuolo for around £35.5 million in the summer transfer window (Sky Sports).

Fornals has already highlighted how he is enjoying the extra competition now present at the London Stadium, following a summer of busy transfer activity.

Pablo Fornals is clearly already impressed with the West Ham striker. And it’s little wonder as to why.

The Italian has made a fairly slow start to life at the London Stadium, but his importance to the Hammers is already clear to see.

Incredibly, West Ham have won all six games that Scamacca has started so far this season.

Hopefully David Moyes gives him a regular run of starts now, because he’s more than deserving of just that.

Pablo Fornals raves about West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca

The Spaniard was obviously delighted to see the Italian get off the mark in the Premier League against Wolves on Saturday.

Fornals spoke to WHUFC.com and highlighted how Scamacca’s goal should give him the confidence that he needs to really kick on now:

The strikers we say make their living from the goals they score. His confidence after his goal is going to be even better. But I think Gianluca has a strong personality. He doesn’t need to score a goal [to be confident]. Before the goal, he was really good for us too.

We agree with Pablo – Scamacca has been hugely impressive since moving to the London Stadium from Sassuolo in the summer.

The Italian undoubtedly has the skillset needed to succeed in the Premier League with West Ham United.

It’s all about producing the goods on a consistent basis for him now.

And Pablo Fornals praising the West Ham striker should give him yet another confidence boost.

We think that the Italian will go on to be a huge player for the Hammers over the next few years.
