The Hammers desperately need to sign a new striker in the January transfer window.

West Ham boss David Moyes will know that he needs to add more competition and cover for Michail Antonio.

Surely we can’t go yet another transfer window without replacing Sebastien Haller.

The Ivory Coast international was sold 10 months ago by the way!

It seems as though the Hammers chief is finally closing in on the signing of a striker to help ease the load on Antonio’s shoulders though.

West Ham closing in on Adam Hlozek?

Claret & Hugh reckon that the Hammers are leading the chase for the Sparta Prague ace.

It is believed that recent West Ham investor and new board member Daniel Kretinsky, who parts owns Sparta as well, will quite simply not allow the Czech starlet to move anywhere else apart from West Ham.

With our desperate need for a striker, the 19-year-old Sparta Prague forward would be a superb addition for the Hammers in January.

The Athletic claimed that West Ham wanted to sign the £15m-rated hitman in the summer.

We ended up missing out on Hlozek, however but it seems as though Moyes will go back in for him in January.

The young Czech striker is a terrific talent and has been described as an ‘exceptional striker’ by Sparta Prague boss Pavel Vrba (iSport).

The 19-year-old was recently described as a world-class striker by Goal.

The Czech Republic International bagged 15 goals and eight assists in 19 league games for Sparta last season. The term, he has racked up four goals and seven assists in 14 league games (Transfermarkt).

If Moyes manages to bring him to West Ham for just £15 million, it would be sensational business.

The Scot must have received glowing recommendations about Hlozek from Tomas Soucek, Vladimir Coufal and Alex Kral.
