Jota moving to West Ham United this month is becoming every more likely with every day that passes it seems.
West Ham are keen to bring Jota to the London Stadium from Al-Ittihad in the January transfer window, and it has been claimed that we’re edging closer to signing the Portuguese star recently.
Hammers boss David Moyes is clearly very keen indeed to bolster his attacking ranks before the January window slams shut.
Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals are being heavily linked with an exit from the London Stadium, and Jota would be a major upgrade on the Algerian and the Spaniard, that goes without saying.
Having already signed Kalvin Phillips on loan, Moyes is an attacker and a versatile defender away from having a squad capable of really making a strong push for the top six.
And if the Scot brings in someone like Jota, we’ll be in a really strong place…

West Ham handed a major Jota boost
According to a report from Saudi based website Koora, the 24-year-old forward has rejected a move to join Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq, leaving the door open for a move to the London Stadium this winter.
That really is great news for the Hammers as far as I’m concerned. I feel like Jota would be a fine addition to Moyes’s ranks, and a Celtic expert recently told Hammers News that the ‘born entertainer’ would be a great signing for us.
The 24-year-old has experienced an incredibly tough time out in Saudi Arabia, since joining Al-Ittihad from Celtic for around £25 million back in July (Sky Sports). He was cut from their squad due to the ‘eight foreign player’ rule that was implemented out in Saudi.
In spite of his problems out in Saudi, he has genuine quality, as proven by his record of 28 goals and 26 assists in 83 games for Celtic (Transfermarkt).
He has skill and trickery in abundance, and seems to me like a player who the Hammers fans would absolutely love.
Hopefully West Ham manage to sign Jota from Al-Ittihad in the January transfer window. He’d take our attacking play to a whole new level in my opinion.
