West Ham boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign a new striker in January.

Michail Antonio is currently our only recognised senior centre-forward and that quite simply isn’t good enough for a club with aspirations of succeeding both in the Premier League and in Europe.

Goal Brasil reckon that FC Basel Arthur Cabral is one striker on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the January transfer window.

West Ham have been told that an offer of around £13 million will be enough to prise the 23-year-old striker away from the Swiss outfit according to Goal Brasil.

That seems like outstanding value to us.

The 23-year-old Brazilian has been on fire for Basel this season, bagging 24 goals and eight assists in just 25 games in all competitions (Transfermarkt).

Cabral is energetic, dynamic, possesses real pace and is an exemplary finisher.

For just £13 million, West Ham really shouldn’t think twice about signing the 23-year-old.

West Ham fans react to links with FC Basel striker Arthur Cabral

The Brazilian rocking up at the London Stadium in January would be a real statement of intent from the Hammers.

The West Ham fans shouldn’t worry that Cabral plays for Basel – the same team we signed notorious flop Albian Ajeti from.

Anyone who has watched Cabral in action will know that he is a completely different kettle of fish to the Switzerland international.
