West Ham United boss David Moyes responds to Ross Barkley and Craig Dawson transfer talk amid increasing speculation.

West Ham sealed one of the most exciting transfers for years last night with the arrival of Brazil star Lucas Paqueta for a club record fee.

The Hammers have made eight signings and spent around £180m so far this summer.

And it seems there will be more comings and goings at West Ham before the window closes at 11pm on Thursday.

Moyes has delivered a massive transfer update in his pre-Spurs press conference by confirming he still wants to make signings.

But the Scot also admitted some current West Ham players may leave the club too.

Reports abound linking the Hammers with more midfielders, central defenders and right-backs too.

The likes of Ross Barkley have been linked with West Ham having become a free agent after Chelsea terminated his contract by mutual agreement.

And fan favourite defender Craig Dawson is said to have asked to leave for family reasons as he seeks a move further north.

The Hammers boss was asked about both in his pre-Spurs presser (Football.London).

And West Ham boss Moyes responded to the Barkley and Dawson transfer talk.

“Ideally, we wouldn’t (lose Dawson) but it’s probably a much more complicated situation that he has,” Moyes said in his presser (Football.London).

“I would never rule anybody out,” Moyes said when asked about a reunion with ex Everton star Barkley at West Ham.

“I gave him his debut at 16.

“If it’s not us, I’d wish him well.”

Were West Ham to sign Barkley, he would link up with former Blues teammates Kurt Zouma and Emerson at the London Stadium.

West Ham face Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night before taking on Barkley’s old club Chelsea on Saturday.
