Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign a new striker this summer, having recently sold Gianluca Scamacca to Atalanta.
And it seems as though Lukaku could be the man for the job at the London Stadium…
Romelu Lukaku to West Ham really could be happening
The Hammers are now in talks to bring the Belgian to the London Stadium from Stamford Bridge this summer.
He is a player in high demand though, so his transfer to West Ham from Chelsea is by no means a formality.
David Moyes should be doing all that he can to make this one happen as far as I’m concerned.
Lukaku is an elite player, in spite of his recent struggles, and he would be an elite forward for us, I have no doubts in my mind about that.
The centre-forward powerhouse has bagged an incredibly impressive 288 goals in 600 career games (Transfermarkt).

The 30-year-old has a ridiculously good goalscoring record against the Hammers. He has scored more goals against us than any other club in his career to date, with 11 to his name in just 17 games, and he’s bagged four assists during those outings as well (Transfermarkt).
He has scored 121 Premier League goals throughout his career to date – a tally that puts him in 20th place in the all-time list (Premier League’s official website).
Can you just imagine the carnage Romelu Lukaku and Michail Antonio would cause up front together for West Ham!
I think he’d be a superb signing for the Hammers, I really do.
