David Moyes took time to praise James Ward-Prowse after West Ham United beat Chelsea 3-1 yesterday afternoon.
West Ham boss David Moyes brought James Ward-Prowse to the club from Southampton this summer for around £30 million, and he made his debut for the Hammers yesterday against Chelsea.

The East London outfit earned what was a huge three points at London Stadium yesterday.

There were times yesterday when we were absolutely battered against Chelsea – large parts of the game in fact.
However, the boys stood firm and won the match 3-1 in the end, with Moyes choosing to praise one Hammer in particular…
David Moyes blown away by one West Ham player who ‘played so well’ against Chelsea
The Scot addressed the media yesterday evening after our win over the Blues.
And Moyes responded when asked what he thought of Ward-Prowse’s display, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“James Ward-Prowse played so well and that’s what we want, isn’t it? We want midfielders who look to make assists and score. We’ve got him in now and he’s already made a difference with his set-piece quality today. I’m really pleased for him. He’s settled in well and he looks a really good lad for our dressing room.”
Ward-Prowse made two key assists for the Hammers, but I have to say, there’s surely a lot more still to come from the 28-year-old.
In my opinion, he was actually fairly quiet aside from the two goal contributions that he made, and we can definitely expect to see more from his all-round game.
The England international will go on to be a great signing for the Hammers.
And David Moyes clearly thinks that as well after Ward-Prowse’s performance against Chelsea yesterday.
