West Ham United have allegedly now made an official offer for Hertha Berlin defender Jordan Torunarigha.

That’s according to a report from Berliner Zeitung who claim that the 24-year-old centre-back can leave Hertha Berlin for just £4 million this summer.

We think that Jordan Torunarigha would be a very solid addition for the Hammers.

West Ham manager David Moyes has already brought Nayef Aguerd to the London Stadium but the addition of the Germany international as well would be a smart move.

Moyes is obviously a manager who likes to build from the back.

And with Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson now 34 and 32 respectively, signing another central defender may well be on the Scot’s mind this summer…

West Ham have made offer for Hertha Berlin ace

According to a report from Berliner Zeitung, the Hammers have made a move to sign Jordan Torunarigha.

The 24-year-old is a three-capped Germany international and possesses a lot of attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League.

Standing at 6ft 3in at all, the German is very strong in the air but he’s quick along the ground as well.

Crucially, he’s left-footed, and can also play at left-back, so Moyes would be getting a top-class player for just £4 million who can operate in two positions! It’s surely a no-brainer.

Football Talent Scout describe the 24-year-old as aerially dominant.

He seems to be tailor made for the tough and robust nature of Premier League football.

If the Hammers do sign Jordan Torunarigha, after the recent addition of Aguerd, we will be in a very strong position defensively for the next five years or so.

And if West Ham have indeed made an offer for the centre-back, this should be a fairly straightforward transfer to complete.
