West Ham United allegedly can now sign long-term transfer target Mohamed Bayo for just £11 million in the summer window.

That’s according to a report from Foot Mercato who claim that Clermont are prepared to sell Bayo to the Hammers this summer, but for nothing less than €13 million (£11 million).

We have extensively covered how the 24-year-old striker would be a very smart addition for David Moyes at the London Stadium.

The Scot desperately needs to sign a top-class centre-forward to help provide competition and cover for Michail Antonio.

Moyes does not have a never-ending supply of money at his disposal though, and with so many new additions needed at West Ham, he will have to be thrifty with his player recruitment.

Bearing that in mind, a move to sign Bayo would be absolutely perfect for the Hammers in the summer transfer window…

West Ham can sign Bayo on the cheap

Foot Mercato claim that the Hammers can sign the 24-year-old striker for just £11 million this summer.

That sounds like outstanding value to us.

The Guinea international would be a superb addition for West Ham, especially at that price.

The 24-year-old was in fine form last season with 14 goals and five assists in 32 Ligue 1 games to his name (Transfermarkt). That comes after bagging 22 goals and eight assists in 38 Ligue 2 games during the season before.

At just 24, he has so much talent and potential. He is still very raw of course. He has all the skills needed but they need to be refined before he becomes an elite striker.

Importantly, Bayo possesses blistering pace and he is very strong indeed, so should be ideally suited to Premier League football.

The Guinean would undoubtedly provide very strong competition indeed for Michail Antonio and that is exactly what Moyes and the Hammers need next season.

If West Ham end up signing Bayo for just £11 million this summer, it will be a truly fantastic deal for the East London outfit.
