West Ham reportedly could now sell ‘unbelievable’ player Craig Dawson to Premier League rivals Wolves in the January transfer window.

That’s according to a report from The Telegraph who claim that Wolves are set to bid for the 32-year-old Hammers centre-back imminently.

Dawson was heavy linked with a move Wolves in the summer, but eventually remained at the London Stadium.

However, now it seems as though he could finally be set to make his long-awaited move closer to his family in the north of England.

Once described as an ‘unbelievable’ player by Michail Antonio, Dawson has been an exceptional servant for West Ham, since moving to East London from Watford in October 2020.

So losing him will undoubtedly be a big blow. It just seems as though that’s something that we will all have to come to terms with pretty soon…

West Ham could sell player in January

The Telegraph reckon that the Hammers are ready to sell the 32-year-old to Wolves this month.

West Ham wanted around £5 million for Dawson in the summer, but are unlikely to get anything like that now, with his contract at the London Stadium due to expire in the summer.

Moyes will obviously have to get a replacement in for Dawson, before he sells him – we are weak enough in the central defensive department as it is.

He originally joined the Hammers on a season-long loan from Watford in October 2020. West Ham then made his move to the London Stadium a permanent one for a further £3 million in the summer of 2021 (The Sun).

Daws has established himself as a cult hero at West Ham but he’s actually a lot more than that. He’s a very good good defender, and labelling him as a cult hero really doesn’t do him justice.

However, it seems though Dawson’s days in East London are numbered. West Ham could sell the popular player in the January transfer window.

And it will be really sad to see him leave, when he eventually moves on.
