Wolves have submitted a £5.25 million bid for West Ham centre-back Craig Dawson, according to a report from The Daily Mail.
The 32-year-old has been absolutely brilliant for the Hammers over the past couple of years. Unfortunately for us though, he wants to move closer to his home in the north of England.

He originally joined the Hammers on a season-long loan from Watford in October 2020. West Ham then made his move to the London Stadium a permanent one for a further £3 million in the summer of 2021 (The Sun).
£3 million for the no-nonsense, tough-tackling centre-back now seems like an absolute bargain.

Daws has established himself as a cult hero at West Ham but he’s actually a lot more than that. He’s a very good good defender, and labelling him as a cult hero really doesn’t do him justice.
He has been described as an ‘immense’ centre-back by the Evening Standard.
And Craig Dawson is absolutely adored by the West Ham fans. The end is nigh for him at East London though…
Craig Dawson set for Wolves
If the Hammers sell the 32-year-old to Wolves for £5.25 million, it will represent a £2.25 million profit for the club.
Not bad business really considering Dawson’s age.

It will be such a shame to see Daws leave the London Stadium.
He has been nothing other than an outstanding professional for the Hammers over the past couple of years.
When it comes to family though, a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do!
We wish Craig Dawson all the success and happiness in the world with Wolves, or whichever club he ends up joining.
