Chelsea have allegedly made a late move to sign PSV Eindhoven ace Ibrahim Sangare in what is a big blow for West Ham United.

That’s according to Eindhovens Dagblad and AD Sportwereld journalist Rik Elfrink who claims that Chelsea have made contact with PSV and could sign the powerful 24-year-old for around €45 million (£39 million) on deadline day today.

This is obviously a big problem for West Ham because David Moyes allegedly wanted to bring Sangare to the London Stadium this summer.

It now seems as though Chelsea are in pole position to sign the 24-capped Ivory Coast international though.

Sangare is an absolute warrior of a midfielder and seems to be tailor made for the robust, intense and physical nature of Premier League football. It seems as though he’ll be plying trade in West London this season, rather than East London, however…

Chelsea make contact to sign Ibrahim Sangare

Eindhovens Dagblad and AD Sportwereld journalist Rik Elfrink has claimed that Chelsea have made an official move to bring the Ivorian to Stamford Bridge.

So it seems as though West Ham will miss out on Sangare, and that’s a huge shame.

It was a good dream to have while it lasted! What a player the PSV Eindhoven ace is.

Standing at 6ft 3in tall, Sangare is an absolute unit of a man, and he possesses energy and athleticism in abundance.

He’s a defensive midfielder by trade, but has recently evolved into more of a box-to-box player.

The 24-year-old bagged four goals and two assists for PSV Eindhoven last season.

During 29 outings for PSV last term, Sangare averaged 3.3 tackles and 2.6 interceptions per game. He made 70 passes on average per match and recorded an impressive completion rate of 86.1% (Who Scored).

The Ivorian will undoubtedly be a huge hit in the Premier League, if he does indeed compete a deadline day move today.

Chelsea signing Ibrahim Sangare will make them a much better all-round team, and we’re absolutely gutted that he won’t be joining West Ham today.
