Arsenal are allegedly closing in on a £30 million deal to sign West Ham United transfer target Youri Tielemans.

That’s according to a report from The Sun who claim that Arsenal are confident of getting a deal done for the 25-year-old Leicester City midfielder for just £30 million – an absolute bargain.

Hammers boss David Moyes allegedly wants to bring the 52-capped Belgium international to the London Stadium this summer.

It seems as though West Ham are set to miss out on Tielemans, however, with Arsenal confident of getting a deal wrapped up for the Leicester City ace.

The 25-year-old is one of the most technically gifted central midfielders in the Premier League. So it’s little wonder why Mikel Arteta and David Moyes are so keen to sign him.

It seems as though there will be a clear winner in the race for Tielemans though…

Arsenal close in on Tielemans signing

According to a report from The Sun, the Gunners are confident of getting a deal wrapped up for the Leicester City midfielder for just £30 million in the summer transfer window.

That sounds like outstanding value to us and missing out on him to Arsenal would be a huge blow for West Ham.

The 25-year-old is a creative central midfielder with an exceptional range of passing. He is full of energy and has proven that he is very well suited to the English game.

Tielemans has bagged 24 goals and 24 assists in 157 games for Leicester (Transfermarkt).

The former Anderlecht and Monaco ace’s intelligence and awareness in possession will improve the attacking play of Arsenal massively.

The Belgian has been described as an ‘incredible’ player by Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers (The Independent).

He is at an age now where he hasn’t even reached his peak, so the next few years could see him become a truly elite star in the Premier League.

And if Arsenal sign Tielemans from Leicester for just £30 million, it will very much be their gain and West Ham’s loss.
