West Ham United’s hopes of signing Arnaut Danjuma now appear to be officially over after his representatives apparently ruled out a move to the London Stadium.

That’s according to a report from Spanish publication AS who claim that Arnaut Danjuma is now likely to remain at Villarreal until after the World Cup at least with his agents ruling out the chance of him joining West Ham this summer.

The Hammers have been heavily linked with a move to sign the 25-year-old Holland international over the past few weeks but David Moyes allegedly had reservations about bringing him to the London Stadium.

Moyes clearly needs to bring a top-class attacker to West Ham before the start of the 2022/23 season in order to provide some real competition for Michail Antonio.

The 32-year-old has been the only centre-forward option for David Moyes since Sebastien Haller was sold to Ajax way back in January 2021.

It seems as though Danjuma is not someone the Scot will be pursuing, however…

West Ham ruled out of Danjuma race

The Holland international’s representatives have officially ruled out a move to the Hammers for their client according to a report from AS.

We still believe that the 25-year-old attacker would have been a superb addition for West Ham.

Danjuma’s release clause stands at around £60 million according to Fabrizio Romano. However, Villarreal were prepared to sell him for around £39 million.

He bagged 16 goals and four assists in 34 games for the La Liga side last season (Transfermarkt).

The 25-year-old can play anywhere across the front-line and already has experience of playing in the Premier League.

Danjuma has pace and power in abundance and made his name on the very biggest stage in the Champions League last season. He has been described as a ‘sensational’ player by Manchester Evening News.

£39 million for the Dutchman seems like brilliant value to us.

West Ham boss David Moyes clearly didn’t want to sign Danjuma though. So that’s good enough for us. We trust the Scot’s judgement.

However, it seems as though the players representatives had already closed the door on a move to the London Stadium for the 25-year-old.
