West Ham boss David Moyes personally scouted Arnaut Danjuma extensively before deciding against a move to sign him.
That’s according to a report from club insiders Claret and Hugh who claim that Moyes has decided that the 25-year-old Villarreal ace is not the man for the job at the London Stadium.

Moyes is in desperate need of bolstering his attacking ranks at the London Stadium this summer.
Michail Antonio desperately needs more competition next season if the Hammers are to kick on to the next level.

We believe that Danjuma would have been the ideal option for West Ham. It seems as though Moyes thought differently though…
David Moyes not convinced by Danjuma
High-level insiders Claret and Hugh claim that the Scot extensively scouted the Holland international before deciding that he wasn’t the forward needed at the London Stadium.
That really is surprising to us.
Danjuma is an exceptional player and surely would have been a superb addition for West Ham.
He bagged 16 goals and four assists in 34 games for the La Liga side last season (Transfermarkt).
The 25-year-old can play anywhere across the front-line and already has experience of playing in the Premier League.

Danjuma has pace and power in abundance and made his name on the very biggest stage in the Champions League last season. He has been described as a ‘sensational’ player by Manchester Evening News.
It is believed that he could be signed for around £39 million this summer.
That seems like brilliant value to us.
The Villarreal ace seemingly has everything that Moyes usually looks for in a forward player. So the fact that he has decided against a move for him is a really strange one.
Perhaps David Moyes will end up regretting not signing Arnaut Danjuma.
