West Ham United are allegedly lining up a £10 million bid for talented Burnley winger and Tottenham target Dwight McNeil this summer.

That’s according to a report from The Sun who claim that the Hammers face competition from Tottenham for the 22-year-old Burnley star.

We strongly believe that the Burnley ace would be a fabulous addition for West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

Hammers manager David Moyes is expected to be an extremely busy man in the transfer market this summer.

The Scot has already signed Nayef Aguerd and has made Alphonse Areola’s loan move to the London Stadium a permanent one.

The next item on Moyes’s agenda will be to sign a top-class striker followed by the additions of a left-back and a central midfielder.

It seems as though the Hammers boss is keen to add a winger to his ranks as well this summer…

West Ham ready to make £10 million Dwight McNeil bid

The Sun claims that Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the talented 22-year-old winger to the club this summer.

And West Ham are allegedly prepared to pay £10 million for the left-footed ace.

We think that McNeil would be a superb signing for the East London outfit.

McNeil is an old fashioned, left-footed left winger. He can also operate in left midfield or even in the left wing-back role.

The 22-year-old has been described as a sensational player by Lancs Live.

He did struggle for Burnley last term, however, bagging just one assist and zero goals in 38 Premier League games. That was a real drop off from his seven goal involvements in 36 games the season before (Transfermarkt).

Having said all of that, McNeil is still a very effective player, even when he isn’t contributing in the final third.

The young Burnley ace always puts in a defence shift and that will undoubtedly appeal to Moyes. He possesses a truly exceptional delivery as well.

He averaged 2.1 tackles and one interception per game in the Premier League last season – very impressive defensive numbers for a so-called attacking player (Who Scored).

The 22-year-old really is a very impressive all-round player.

And hopefully a £10 million bid is enough or West Ham to beat Tottenham to the signing of Dwight McNeil this summer.
