Luka Jovic allegedly rejected the chance to join West Ham United from La Liga giants Real Madrid this summer.
That’s according to a report from 90min who claim that the Hammers made an enquiry to sign the 24-year-old Real Madrid striker in the summer transfer window.

Jovic rejected the chance to move to the London Stadium, however, opting instead to join Italian side Fiorentina on a season-long loan (90 Min).
West Ham manager David Moyes will be absolutely desperate to sign a top-class centre-forward before the start of the new season.

Jovic would have been a very good option for the Hammers and would have provided Moyes with a completely different option to Michail Antonio.
It seems as though Moyes will have to explore alternative targets now though…
Real Madrid striker has rejected West Ham
90min reckon that the Serbia international knocked back the Hammers after we made an enquiry to Madrid for his services.
He is now thought to be Fiorentina bound instead.
Jovic joined Real Madrid from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2019 for around £55 million (AS).
The 26-capped Serbia international has been a huge disappointment during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, however.
Spanish newspaper Marca described him as a ‘flop’ and one of the worst signings in the history of Real Madrid. Quite the endorsement eh!!
The bottom line us that Jovic is actually a very good striker. Moving to Real Madrid was obviously just the wrong fit for him. And it seems as though West Ham tried to rescue the Serbian from his nightmare in Spain…
Unfortunately for us, he rejected our advances.

Despite his struggles with Madrid, we strongly believe that Jovic would have been an exceptional addition for West Ham.
The gifted forward has barely played for Madrid with just 49 appearances to his name in three years.
He proved his quality during his time with Eintracht Frankfurt, however, with 40 goals and 10 assists in 93 appearances for the Bundesliga side (Transfermarkt).
Jovic is technically gifted and has a cunning knack of being able to find sauce in tight areas. He is very good with the ball at his feet as well.
The 24-year-old isn’t the quickest by any means but he is a very intelligent footballer. Jovic has proven throughout his career that he’s a great finisher as well.
It will be a big blow to Moyes that the Real Madrid striker has rejected a move to West Ham. He could have been a very smart addition to the Scot’s squad in the summer transfer window.
