The agent of West Ham target Amadou Onana is trying to force through a move away from Lille for his client.

That’s according to a report from HLN who claim that Lille are demanding €40 million (£35 million) from the Hammers for the 20-year-old midfielder.

West Ham manager David Moyes has been heavily linked with a move to sign Onana over the past couple of weeks and the East London outfit have now had two bids rejected for the 6ft 5in ace.

The Lille star would be a great addition for the Hammers but the Ligue 1 outfit are playing hard-ball, and that’s their prerogative.

Onana is under contract with the French club until the summer of 2026 after all.

The good thing for us is that Onana and his agent are clearly keen to move to the Premier League…

Amadou Onana agent trying to force move

HLN claims that the 20-year-old’s representative is trying to force through a move away from Lille for his client.

West Ham will have to pay £35 million in order to get a deal for Onana over the line though.

We should just get this one done as soon as possible. The Belgium international would be absolutely sensational for the Hammers.

He seems to have absolutely everything needed to succeed in the English game what with its intense nature and ferocious speed and tempo.

The 6ft 5in central midfielder is an absolute giant.

He’s powerful, energetic and has everything that Moyes will be looking for in the middle of the park.

The Belgium international is equally as strong with both feet, and that’s somewhat of a rarity in the modern game.

In 32 Ligue 1 outings for Lille last season, Onana averaged 1.5 tackles and one interception per game. He made 20 passes on average per match and recorded a completion rate of 84% (Who Scored).

The 20-year-old is an absolute powerhouse of a player and would be an unreal addition to Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

Onana is a really special talent. He has been described by Sport Magazine as a ‘sensational’ young player. Meanwhile, he’s been labelled as an ‘incredible’ player by Total Football Analysis.

Thankfully, the agent of Amadou Onana appears to be working hard to get a summer move for his client.

It remains to be seen whether West Ham match Lille’s £35 million asking price for the midfielder though.
