West Ham United surely hold a big advantage over Everton in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike this summer.

According to a report from Le Parisien, Everton are keen to sign Hugo Ekitike, whilst West Ham are accelerating their move to bring him to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window.

Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign a new striker this summer – someone with blistering pace.

Ekitike would be absolutely perfect for us, and I believe we’ll have absolutely no problem sweeping Everton aside in the race for the 21-year-old’s signature this summer…

It’s clear who’ll win race for ‘very special’ Hugo Ekitike out of West Ham and Everton

Le Parisien are claiming that the Hammers and the Toffees are both trying to sign the former Reims forward.

However, I firmly believe that there will only be one winner out of those two clubs – West Ham.

The Hammers have Europa League football on offer at the London Stadium, and we have a much stronger squad than Everton do.

West Ham will be pushing for a top seven finish this season, or a top 10 one at the very least, while the early indications are that Everton will be battling it out near the bottom of the Premier League table.

I would absolutely love the Frenchman to join the Hammers this summer. He’s rapid, has great movement and is a really good finisher.

Former Reims manager Oscar Garcia described the young forward as a ‘very special’ player (Ligue 1’s official website).

And I reckon West Ham should have no problem beating Everton to the signing of Hugo Ekitike this summer. Let’s just hope that no other clubs enter the race for his signature.
