West Ham insider Sean Whetstone has provided an update on Lucas Paqueta with the Hammers fans pleading for info this afternoon.

West Ham have also agreed personal terms with the 25-year-old according to the likes of Fabrizio Romano.
Paqueta is due in London either later today or tomorrow in order to undertake his medical.
It seems as though we’re on the cusp of securing a truly special signing. And another update has been provided for us this afternoon…

Hammers insider Sean Whetstone took to his official Twitter account today to give us the lowdown on what is actually going on with Paqueta, and how long it will be before he’s holding up the West Ham shirt:
So, it’s very much a case of being patient! That’s easier than it sounds though isn’t it, such is the quality and talent that Paqueta possesses.
The 33-capped Brazil international is an attacking midfielder by trade but he can also operate on either wing if need be.
The silky left-footed ace has bagged 20 goals and 13 assists in 77 games for Lyon so far. Last season, he racked up 11 goals and seven assists in 44 appearances for the French side (Transfermarkt).
Paqueta possesses exceptional technique, impressive pace and has a real eye for goal and a killer pass.
He seems to have all of the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League and he has that nasty side on the football pitch that is so quintessentially South American as well.
We think that £50 million for Lucas Paqueta is great value for West Ham. He could end up being one of our best signings of the past couple of decades and will undoubtedly take us to another level entirely.
We won’t count our chickens just yet though…let’s wait to see him holding up the shirt before we get too excited!!
