Transfer reporter Kaveh Solhekol has made an astonishing West Ham United transfer spend claim when live on Sky Sports.
The Hammers took their summer transfer outlay to around £123m with the arrival of seventh signing, Emerson Palmieri, from Chelsea this week.
And pending a successful medical, West Ham are on the verge of smashing their transfer record to sign Brazil star Lucas Paqueta for around £52m next.
This was always going to be a big summer for West Ham in the transfer market after a raft of departures and a clearing of deadwood.

Following a barren January window, Moyes always insisted he would rather keep the money to go big in the summer and get the players he wants.
Departing skipper Mark Noble used his last ever press conference to call on West Ham’s owners to back Moyes in the transfer market.
It is clear to see David Sullivan, Daniel Kretinsky and David Gold have been doing just that.
After Paqueta, there could be even more signings on the way for West Ham before the window closes on Thursday, September 1st.

David Moyes hailed West Ham’s owners for their support in the transfer market this week with the Paqueta deal set to take spending past £175m.
Now Kaveh Solhekol has made an astonishing West Ham transfer spend claim live on Sky Sports.
The reporter did some quick calculations while on air during the Transfer Show.
And he claims West Ham’s spending could reach the 200m Euro mark with Paqueta, making them the second highest spenders in world football this summer.

“I was just going to say on West Ham and the amount of money they’ve spent this window,” Solhekol said while scribbling down some calculations live on Sky Sports Transfer Show.
“I know David Moyes wants us to get the figures exactly right, sometimes it’s difficult to get the transfer fees exactly right. But if we go by what Transfermrkt, the respected website, are saying – they’re saying at the moment the fifth biggest spenders in the window this summer are West Ham, and they say they’ve spent 139m Euros.
“The only clubs who have spent more than West Ham, according to Transfermrkt, are Chelsea, they’re top 202m Euros, then Barcelona 153, then Forest 148, then Manchester United 143, then West Ham 139.

“And you’re (Dharmesh Sheth) saying Paqueta is 60m Euros. So 139 plus 60 is 199m Euros, so West Ham would jump above Barcelona and be the second biggest spenders in the window this summer in (all of) Europe. Just three million Euros behind Chelsea.
“So David Moyes getting real backing from the West Ham owners.”
With talk that West Ham could also sign the likes of Hans Vanaken too, there is the very real possibility they could end the window as the biggest spenders, although some big deals are in the offing involving both Chelsea and Manchester United.
But to even be in the mix is heady stuff for the Hammers, whose fans have long been calling to see this kind of ambition.
