West Ham now won’t be signing sensational midfield star Conor Gallagher after increasing Chelsea speculation says insider.

West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for all-action defensive midfield ace Gallagher all summer.

There has been a lot of talk from various sources that West Ham are interested in a host of Chelsea fringe players this summer.

The Hammers have been linked with the likes of Gallagher, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Armando Broja and Ross Barkley.

It is hardly surprising given West Ham have spent nearly £50m signing Kurt Zouma and Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea over the last year.

West Ham fans have been seriously excited at the prospect of signing Gallagher, who was substituted on his full Chelsea debut last weekend – a 3-0 defeat to Leeds.

Earlier this week The Evening Standard claimed West Ham want to sign Gallagher and still held out hope that Chelsea will allow him to leave on loan.

But Hammers fans should not get their hopes up it seems.

Because West Ham now won’t be signing sensational midfield star Gallagher after the recent Chelsea speculation says an insider.

Claret and Hugh claim a top level source inside West Ham has told them the links to Gallagher are “pure speculation” and that they expect him to remain at Stamford Bridge.

“The Hammers are reported to be in the race to sign the midfielder on a short-term deal,” Claret and Hugh report in an article titled ‘Gallagher links truth’.

“However, a top level source at the club has described the reports as “pure speculation”, with the Irons currently pursuing a deal to sign Hans Vanaken from Club Brugge.

“Gallagher was exceptional on loan at Crystal Palace last season and forced his way into the England squad; while Gallagher is admired at the London Stadium, there is no contact between the two clubs as yet and no move has been made…

“Indeed, there is an expectation that Gallagher will stay at Chelsea but the Irons will continue to monitor his situation ahead of the final week of the transfer window.”
