Jesse Lingard private flight lands in southeast London airport as eagle-eyed West Ham fans turn detective ahead of anticipated move.

West Ham fans never cease to amaze and some super sleuths may have just cracked the case of the Lingard saga once and for all.

Reports emerged on Tuesday claiming the 29-year-old midfielder has finally agreed to rejoin the Hammers as a free agent.

The likes of KUMB claimed that Lingard’s West Ham return on a permanent deal has been sealed.

“Jesse Lingard is set to make a sensational return to West Ham having agreed to return to the club on a permanent basis,” KUMB reports in the story titled ‘Lingard on his way’.

It came after Hammers News highlighted what appeared to be a clear hint from Lingard he had chosen to sign for West Ham in a cryptic TikTok video captioned ‘Decisions, decisions, decisions’ alongside a football emoji.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth then issued an update confirming talks were advanced between West Ham and Lingard’s representatives but warning rivals were still circling.

On Tuesday night Lingard made a series of posts on his Instagram stories.

One said “Anyone can want you, but the love hits different when someone actually values you.”

That was followed by a video of Lingard on a private plane and one of the cockpit looking out on the runway after landing captioned ‘Soooooo exciting’.

Then enter West Ham’s very own social media Columbo’s.

West Ham fans zoomed in on the plane’s reg number and tracked the flight carrying Lingard from Manchester to London Biggin Hill.

One supporter even noticed the runway pattern in Lingard’s video and matched it with a top down view picture taken from Google Earth.

Astonishing dedication.

Given that no other London clubs are in for Lingard and West Ham’s much publicised and longstanding pursuit of the player – coupled with his cryptic posts of late – it is surely now safe to assume he is about to finally return to West Ham.

Surely.
