West Ham surely have no chance to sign Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer after the Brazilian told Tottenham that he doesn’t want to join them.
Moyes has since brought Nayef Aguerd to the London Stadium from Rennes.
Bremer would be a great signing for West Ham but his decision to reject the chance to join Tottenham means that we have no hope of bringing the Samba star to East London this summer…
Gleison Bremer makes Tottenham decision
The 25-year-old centre-back has decided to join Inter Milan, rejecting the chance to move to Tottenham in the process according to a report from Corriere Dello Sport.
Missing out on the signing of Bremer will be a big blow for Tottenham and it will be for West Ham as well.
The Brazilian is valued at around €30 million (£25 million) according to Torino Granata.
In 33 Serie A outings for Torino last season, the 25-year-old averaged 1.5 tackles, 3.2 interceptions and four clearances per game. He also won an average of four aerial duals per match (Who Scored).
Standing at 6ft 2in tall and with a great leap, Bremer is very strong in the air. He is also quick along the ground and is a tenacious tackler.
Meanwhile, Football Transfers have labelled him as an ‘outstanding’ defender.
He will most likely go on to become one of the top central defenders in the world. So £25 million for Bremer would have represented exceptional value.
With Gleison Bremer reportedly having chosen Inter Milan over Tottenham though, West Ham boss David Moyes will now have to look elsewhere.
