Giants Milan now want West Ham star Gianluca Scamacca in an utterly laughable deal as rumours swirl of behind the scenes issues.
There was much excitement at West Ham after the signing of Italy striker Scamacca from Sassuolo for £35m in the summer.
Hammers fans had patiently waited for 18 months for David Moyes to finally replace Sebastien Haller.
Scamacca showed some glimpses of his class, quality and unerring finishing power before being derailed by illness earlier this season.
Then just as he was getting up to speed after the World Cup break he was hit by a knee injury which kept him out of West Ham contention for two months.

Despite being available for the last couple of weeks, Scamacca has barely been used by Moyes.
Last week the Italian hit the headlines after being dropped by the agency which brokered his move to West Ham.
We reported on Hammers News the real reason behind that split.
But that has not stopped speculation that the striker wants to leave the club in the summer.
Unverified gossip has suggested Scamacca has had a fallout with Moyes behind the scenes.
So when the Scot did not bring him on in the 4-0 defeat to Brighton – despite Michail Antonio being unavailable due to a hamstring injury – it only fanned the flames of that particular fire.
A report from Pianeta Milan claimed AC Milan are keen to sign the 24-year-old striker in the summer and that West Ham are willing to sell for £44m.
But giants Milan now want West Ham star Scamacca in an utterly laughable deal as rumours swirl of behind the scenes issues.

According to La Repubblica via SportItalia, the Rossoneri are definitely keen to sign Scamacca having missed out on the forward to the Irons in the summer.
But Milan want to sign him on loan with a €20m (£17m) option to buy in the summer of 2024.
We will give you a moment to finish laughing.
It gets worse too. The report even claims it is a proposal that West Ham could accept.
Surely this particular report can be filed straight in the bin. Why on earth would the Hammers not only loan Scamacca out for a season but then take an £18m hit on him to boot?
The report claims Scamacca is keen to return to Italy. That may or may not be true. But West Ham cannot and should not be held to ransom.
