Fabrizio Romano says West Ham have offered one of their players to Jose Mourinho as the January fundraising begins.
West Ham are looking to make improvements to their squad in the January transfer window.
David Moyes has made that clear and says he is keen to “add to what he is building” with his new-look West Ham side in the hunt for a fourth consecutive season of European football.
The top source inside the club exclusively told Hammers News recently that West Ham do intend to be active next month.
But that same source confirmed fringe players must be moved on first to free up squad space and satisfy FFP rules with the club at its wages-to-turnover limit.

Well it seems action is being taken by the Hammers on that front.
West Ham have a host of fringe players who have barely featured under Moyes this season.
That is evidenced by the fact the Scot has used fewer players than any other manager in the Premier League so far this term (22).
The January window opens in a week.
And Fabrizio Romano says West Ham have offered a star to Jose Mourinho as the fundraising begins.

The transfer reporter has told Caught Offside that the Hammers have contacted the Roma boss to offer him outcast Thilo Kehrer after they heard he was trying to sign Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah.
“(Leonardo) Bonucci is available as an option but he’s not the only one, as West Ham’s Thilo Kehrer has also been offered to the Giallorossi,” Romano claims.
The report also highlights that Roma could prefer a move for 27-year-old Kehrer after West Ham’s approach given he is nine years younger than Bonucci.
Working with a world renowned manager like Mourinho would undoubtedly appeal to Kehrer. And it may help get the best out of the defender for what should be the best years of a centre-back’s career.

Earlier this month it was claimed Kehrer is wanted by both Aston Villa and Eintracht Frankfurt after being frozen out by Moyes at West Ham.
Though at times inconsistent in his debut season – along with most of his teammates it must be said – Kehrer became a huge fan favourite for helping see out the European trophy win.
And for leading the celebrations on the parade through east London afterwards.
Kehrer has pace, agility, athleticism and – by Moyes’ own admission – a great attitude. So Mourinho could turn him back into a top defender given his track record.
Kehrer is behind Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Angelo Ogbonna in the centre-back pecking order at West Ham. And he has barely been used as back-up full-back like he was last term.
Some West Ham fans feel Kehrer has been somewhat hard done by this season, not even getting much game time when Moyes makes sweeping changes for cup and European games.
The Hammers paid £10.5m for Kehrer from PSG in the summer of 2022. And as far as Hammers supporters are concerned the part he played in their European success means he’s been worth every penny.
If West Ham can recoup most of that outlay from Roma then it could be a deal to suit all parties.
