Fabrizio Romano has broken hugely exciting news as West Ham ‘open talks’ for Mohammed Kudus and he wants the move.
West Ham have been linked with a second raid on Dutch giants Ajax – this time for Ghanaian midfield dynamo Mohammed Kudus.
But any Hammers move looked highly unlikely when the Ajax manager insisted he wants to keep their ‘jewel’ at the weekend.
Back in October last year, German outlet Bild – as well as KUMB and us here on Hammers News – reported claims that West Ham were seriously interested in Kudus.

The rumours back then were that West Ham were eyeing a January move for the 23-year-old, who can play in a host of positions including winger, wide forward and striker.
That move never materialised and Kudus remained with Ajax where he had been playing alongside new Hammers signing Edson Alvarez.
Now it seems a Kudus and Alvarez reunion in east London could well be a possibility.
Fabrizio Romano has broken hugely exciting news as West Ham ‘open talks’ for Kudus and he wants the move.

‘Initial talks open’
The Italian transfer reporter claims Kudus is now West Ham’s prime target to replace Lucas Paqueta – who looks to be edging close to a move to Manchester City.
“EXCLUSIVE: West Ham now open initial talks to sign Mohammed Kudus,” Romano said.
“(He’s the) priority target in case Lucas Paqueta leaves to join Manchester City.
“Positive talks on player side, Kudus open to the move — still waiting to approach Ajax as deal will depend on Paqueta.”
Kudus would be a serious addition
As West Ham fans saw with the Alvarez move, West Ham agreed terms with the midfielder prior to sorting the fee with Ajax.
So this is a massively encouraging update from Romano on a truly gifted player.
Kudus would be a serious addition to this West Ham team, which will is in desperate need of more pace and guile. Especially if Paqueta is sold.
What is also encouraging is that West Ham appear to finally be doing things properly in identifying a replacement before selling a key player.
Losing Paqueta would be a big blow. But signing Kudus as his replacement could prove an absolute masterstroke.
