Honest David Moyes has laid it on the line over Tim Steidten as the new man is spotted in the stands for West Ham opener.
A transfer stand-off between West Ham’s new technical director Tim Steidten and manager David Moyes had been blamed for the lack of new arrivals during the summer transfer window.
West Ham finally broke their transfer duck this week with the signing of Edson Alvarez, though. And more are set to follow with James Ward-Prowse scheduled to be unveiled on Monday.
It was exclusively confirmed to Hammers News by a top club source that Steidten had been finding Moyes ‘very hard work’ after claims surfaced last month the German could walk already.
Moyes also admitted he was still getting to know Steidten and had hardly had time to sit down and get to know him let alone work on transfers.

But Scottish sources with connections to Moyes reported the Hammers boss is open to working in tandem with the ex Bayer Leverkusen man.
Now honest Moyes has laid it on the line over Steidten as the new man is spotted in the stands for the West Ham opener at Bournemouth.
The cameras picked up Steidten taking in his first Premier League game as West Ham’s technical director.
And Moyes has rubbished claims the pair don’t see eye to eye while offering an honest assessment of their working relationship and how it sees it developing.
“We have got on very well actually,” Moyes said, as reported by The Times.

‘There has been a lot of rubbish spoken… the longer we’re together, the better it will become’
“There has been a lot of rubbish spoken. We may not agree on every player, but there would be something wrong if we did.
“The longer we are together, the longer we work together, the better it will become.
“Tim had been working at another club and had players in mind for his other club but it’s a different way you’ve got to do it when you’re buying players for the Premier League compared to the German league.”
While there were some encouraging signs for West Ham in the 1-1 draw at Bournemouth, the same old problems from last season were prevalent.
A lack of pace and guile – which will only get worse should Lucas Paqueta leave – continues to be an issue. And the striker situation is a major concern as West Ham’s profligacy cost them on the south coast.
West Ham also once again surrendered the lion’s share of possession (63% vs 37%) having had the second worst possession stats in the top flight last season.
And the Hammers completed 213 less passes than the Cherries (517 vs 304), with Moyes blaming his side’s inability to keep the ball as a key reason in conceding the equaliser.
