West Ham target Dusan Vlahovic really should be the number one transfer target for David Moyes in January.

Calcio Mercato recently claimed that the towering 21-year-old Fiorentina striker could be an option for the Hammers.

There have been so many strikers linked with a move to West Ham since Sebastien Haller was sold to Ajax 10 months ago.

We think that Vlahovic is the standout option though.

The young striker was on fire for Fiorentina on Saturday, scoring twice against AC Milan during a thrilling 4-3 win.

Back in 2016, Vlahovic was scouted by Juventus with the Italian club’s scouts branding him as ‘the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic’ (The Sun).

And ironically, the Swedish legend scored two for Milan on Saturday as well, as he went head-to-head with the man who has been tipped to one day fill his shoes.

West Ham should be prioritising Dusan Vlahovic signing

If we could pick one striker for Moyes to sign in January it would be the young Fiorentina hitman.

The Serbia international scored 21 goals in 37 Serie A games for Fiorentina last season (Transfermarkt).

This term, he has 12 goals and two assists to his name in 14 games.

Standing at 6ft 3in tall, the Fiorentina ace certainly has similar physical attributes to Zlatan. The 21-year-old has demonstrated how much quality he has throughout his short time in the game so far.

The 14-capped Serbia international is incredibly powerful and he has a certain kind of aura that belies his tender years.

Vlahovic possesses an imposing frame and is incredibly strong and dominant in the air yet he has a wonderful touch and magnificent technique as well.

Fiorentina are demanding £35 million for his services (Tuttomercatoweb).

Whilst that sounds like a lot of money, it will seem like mere pocket change in a few years time.

Vlahovic has everything needed to become a genuine superstar in the game. He was recently described as ‘unplayable’ by scouting website Football transfers.

And David Moyes should not hesitate to bring him to the London Stadium for £35 million in January.

With Daniel Kretinsky’s recent investment, that kind of signing at least seems possible now.
