Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing another West Ham star in addition to Mateus Fernandes.

Fernandes has been strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford following an impressive 2025/26 Premier League campaign.

West Ham are expected to demand a fee of at least £80 million to sell their most valuable asset, despite being relegated.

Meanwhile, United are also weighing up an offer for Netherlands international Crysencio Summerville this summer.

Summerville scored an excellent goal for the Netherlands on his World Cup debut against Japan last weekend.

David Ornstein has revealed the story behind Man Utd’s interest in the winger, including West Ham’s asking price.

Manchester United are tracking Crysencio Summerville

Crysencio Summerville has recently been linked with Roma, Newcastle and Tottenham, but Man Utd have now entered the race.

United are looking to strengthen new manager Michael Carrick’s attacking options by signing a winger this summer.

Summerville prefers to play on the left wing, where he can cut inside onto his stronger right foot, but he can also play on the right.

Indeed, the Dutchman looked like Arjen Robben with his superb left-footed finish from the right side at the World Cup.

Summerville’s goal against Japan must have raised eyebrows in recruitment teams across Europe, including Man Utd’s.

The Red Devils are now “paying serious attention” to the 24-year-old ahead of a potential £50 million bid.

It was previously reported that West Ham wanted £35m for Summerville, but their valuation now appears to have risen.

Be honest: Where do YOU think Mateus Fernandes ends up this summer?

Given that they signed him for £25m from Leeds two years ago, a £50m sale would return a healthy £25m profit.

With Fernandes set to leave for around £80m, the Hammers would then have a war chest to spend on new signings.

It would also mean that they can afford to reject approaches for the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Dinos Mavropanos.
