David Moyes persistence pays off for West Ham as a French journalist makes an exciting £33m Amadou Onana announcement.
It has been widely reported that Moyes wants to bring another central midfielder to West Ham this summer following the arrival of Flynn Downes.
And West Ham have been heavily linked with Lille central midfield star Onana.

The potential move for Onana has seriously excited West Ham fans this summer.
The Lille central midfielder threatens to be one of the most dominant forces in Europe in his position.
Standing at a towering 6ft 5in, the 20-year-old is already a full Belgium international.
West Ham were recently said to be ‘increasingly confident’ of signing Onana (The Evening Standard).

West Ham saw their first three bids for Onana rejected by Lille, the last of which was said to be for over £30m.
Football writer Paul Brown recently claimed Onana wants to leave Lille for West Ham. And he even went as far as to claim it is ‘only a matter of time’ before the transfer happens.

Now it seems Moyes’ persistence has paid off for West Ham as a French journalist makes an exciting £33m Amadou Onana announcement.
Saber Desfarges took to Twitter late last night and told his 60,000 followers Lille have accepted a fourth bid worth a combined £33m with add-ons for Onana.
“LOSC / West Ham agreement for Amadou Onana,” Desfarges said on Twitter.

“Lille accepted an offer from the London club of 35 million euros + 5 bonuses (£33m total).
“West Ham have now started contract negotiations with the Belgian player.
“Lille have accepted West Ham’s bid, I confirm. West Ham are negotiating Amadou Onana’s contract right now. More to follow.”
L’Equipe were also reporting the same news as Desfarges last night.

Onana has caught the eye of West Ham fans with his social media activity of late.
He recently posted a Conor McGregor meme with the word “patience” on it.
The Moyes target also liked a post about new West Ham striker signing Gianluca Scamacca at the weekend and follows Hammers ace Said Benrahma too.
