The Jesse Lingard to West Ham United links are refusing to go away yet again it seems.
West Ham signed Jesse Lingard on a four-month loan deal back in 2021, and he was a huge hit with the Hammers, bagging nine goals and four assists in just 16 Premier League games.
Then he was heavily linked with a return to the London Stadium in the summer just gone, but that didn’t happen in the end as the 31-year-old pursued a move to Saudi Pro League club Al Ettifaq instead – a move that also failed to materialise.
Lingard has been a free agent ever since, and just yesterday, the 31-year-old was spotted training with Pablo Fornals out in Dubai.
The former Manchester united and Nottingham Forest man is clearly doing his best to earn a deal somewhere in the world of football.
So could David Moyes really make a move to sign Jesse again?

The Daily Mail (print edition January 11th, page 69), claim that the Hammers will not make a move to re-sign Lingard this month.
That’s good news as far as I’m concerned, he’s had more than enough chances to come and play for us.
Lingard hasn’t played a game since April, and no matter how much training he’s been doing, there is absolutely no way that he’d be fit enough to come in and make an impact for West Ham straight away this month.
Sure, Moyes has plenty of attacking players current unavailable for selection, but there are far better options out there for the Scot than Jesse.
West Ham really do need to completely move on from Jesse Lingard now – that ship has long since sailed.
The 31-year-old was superb for us three years ago but a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then. He proved during his time with Forest that he’s nothing more than a mercenary on the look-out for one final big payday.
Hopefully the Hammers make a move for someone like Steven Bergwijn in January – the Dutchman would take us to another level in my book.
