£26m West Ham target drops big hint on Instagram and Mohammed Kudus likes the post

Mohammed Kudus liked an Instagram post yesterday of a West Ham United target who is clearly thinking about his future.

West Ham signed Mohammed Kudus from Ajax in the summer, and now David Moyes seems to be ready to add another top-class attacker to his ranks.

Hammers director of football Tim Steidten played a key role in bringing the 23-year-old to the club in the summer.

And Kudus has lit up the Premier League with 10 goals and one assist to his name in 24 games for West Ham so far (Who Scored).

The Ghanaian has been a huge hit, and now Moyes could be set to make yet another raid on Ajax, with Steven Bergwijn an apparent January transfer window target for the Hammers boss.

West Ham were first linked with a move to sign the 26-year-old former Tottenham winger back in November.

The, the rumours resurfaced just a couple of days ago, and they have been gathering momentum ever since. And now, I reckon they’ll speed up even more so…

The 23-year-old played with Bergwijn at Ajax last season, and the duo formed a very impressive partnership. They bagged with 23 goals and nine assists between them in 62 combined Eredivisie games.

I reckon Kudus would love Bergwijn at the London Stadium, as would I. And it seems like there’s a good chance that the Netherlands international could be Hammers bound.

Bergwijn took to his instagram account yesterday to post a picture along with the thinking cloud emoji:

That’s an obvious hint that he’s thinking hard about his future, and the fact that Kudus liked the post tells me that the Ghana international wants his former teammate at the London Stadium.

Tottenham signed him from PSV Eindhoven in January 2020 for around £30 million including add-ons (ESPN). He then moved to Ajax for £26 million two-and-a-half years later (Sky Sports), after failing to succeed with Spurs.

The 32-capped Holland international can play anywhere along the front-line, and would offer us a real variety to our attacking play.

He has pace to burn as is a really direct runner, and has eight goals and three assists to his name in 20 games for Ajax so far this season (Transfermarkt).

Hopefully Mohammed Kudus is in his ear, selling a move to West Ham! I think if Moyes adds Bergwijn to his current attacking unit, we could be a real force this season.
