An unnamed Saudi club has made a verbal approach to West Ham United about signing Pablo Fornals this summer.

According to a report from The Telegraph, the West Ham owners will demand more than £24 million from the Saudi club for Pablo Fornals, if they are to sell him in the summer transfer window.

Fornals, 27, joined the Hammers from Villarreal in the summer of 2019, and has since gone on to establish himself as a firm fan favourite at the London Stadium.

However, David Moyes has barely started Pablo over the past year, and he has been heavily linked with a move to Sevilla this summer.

It seems as though the Spaniard’s return home might have to wait though, with a move to Saudi beckoning…

The Telegraph claim that the Hammers will only sell the 27-year-old midfielder to the Saudi club if they offer more than the £24 million that we paid for him four years ago.

The transfer window out in Saudi Arabia doesn’t close until later on in September, but I would imagine that the Hammers won’t want to leave it that late before selling Fornals, unless Jesse Lingard comes into the club of course.

I really don’t want Moyes to sell Pablo. I actually wouldn’t mind Lingard coming back to the London Stadium to strengthen the squad, but not if it’s at the expense of the Spanaird.

Pablo Fornals is a huge fan favourite at West Ham, and he still has so much to offer us as far as I’m concerned.

However, he has only one year remaining on his current deal (with an option of a further 12 months), so the Hammers will have to make a decision on him sooner rather than later.

I wouldn’t actually be surprised one little bit to see Pablo leave West Ham this summer.
