Manchester City could make a last-ditch attempt to sign Lucas Paqueta from West Ham United before the transfer window closes.
According to a report from The Times, Manchester City have not yet given up hope of signing West Ham star Lucas Paqueta in the summer transfer window.

As a result of those alleged indiscretions, Man City dropped their interest in the Hammers star. That was good news for us and of course, David Moyes.
However, it now seems like the Brazilian is still very much on the radar of the Premier League champions…
Fresh claim made about West Ham star Lucas Paqueta with only 51 hours before transfer window closes
The Times claim that City could still make a late swoop to sign the Hammers star before the transfer window slams shut.
Now, in order for that to happen, Man City will surely have to get word that the gambling charges levelled at Paqueta have no substance, otherwise they wouldn’t risk signing him.

I have my doubts that the Hammers will even contemplate selling him this late in the window as well.
In spite of the addition of Mohammed Kudus, we would still be short in the attacking midfield department without the talented South American star.
I wouldn’t be shocked one little bit to see Manchester City activate Lucas Paqueta’s £85 million release clause next summer.
However, I fully expect him to still be a West Ham player when the transfer window slams shut at 11pm on Friday – only 51 hours away.
