Board source says West Ham have set £30m limit for Nayef Aguerd transfer and lifts lid on the stance of David Moyes.
Last week we reported on Hammers News that defender Nayef Aguerd may have played his last game for West Ham.
As revealed in our report, Aguerd did indeed miss the Arsenal game with illness reported as the reason. And he then met up with the Morocco squad for AFCON thus missing the game against Brighton.
Since then speculation has intensified that he could leave the Hammers in the January transfer window.
Hammers News brought you an exclusive from the top source inside West Ham recently.

Board source says £30m limit set for Aguerd
It was confirmed that Tim Steidten and David Moyes want to make signings. But players must be offloaded to create space in the squad and meet FFP rules with West Ham at their wages-to-turnover limit.
Aguerd has proved wildly inconsistent for West Ham since arriving from Rennes for £30m 18 months ago.
According to a report from L’Equipe, the soon-to-be 28-year-old defender is being targeted by Lyon this month. And he is also said to be a target for Saudi clubs once again after an approach in the summer.
Realistically Aguerd represents a much better bet of raising a decent fee than many of West Ham’s fringe players.

Moyes stance revealed
West Ham have been linked with a number of centre-backs of late including four from Bundelisga as well as Harry Maguire and Joe Worrall.
Now a board source says West Ham have set £30m limit for any Aguerd transfer and lifts the lid on Moyes’ stance.
According to Sean Whetstone, who counts the likes of Karren Brady and David Sullivan among his contacts, Moyes will only consider selling Aguerd if the Hammers recoup the original outlay and have a quality replacement lined up.
“David Moyes would be reluctant to sell Nayef Aguerd this January,” Whetstone said.
“He would insist on getting a replacement lined up first of the same quality or better and also insist West Ham recoup £30m or better in transfer fees before agreeing to his departure.”
