Newcastle United are thought to be plotting a January transfer raid for one of West Ham United’s key targets.
West Ham United and Newcastle United are both expected to be extremely busy in the January transfer window.
Hammers boss David Moyes and Newcastle manager Eddie Howe are specifically after a new striker this month, and Serhou Guirassy is thought to be one of the East London outfit’s key targets.
However, there is some really bad news for West Ham it seems.
That’s because Sport Bild claim that Newcastle are eyeing up a move to sign Guirassy from Stuttgart, and he could be available for just £15 million if his release clause is activated before ‘mid-January’.
If the Hammers miss out to the Toon on the 27-year-old striker it will be a really big blow for us in my book…

West Ham could miss out on striker to Newcastle in the January transfer window
Sport Bild reckon that the Magpies could activate the Stuttgart striker’s £15 million release clause to bring him to St James’ Park this month.
If that does happen, there should be real questions asked of Moyes as to why he didn’t swoop in sooner for the forward.
He’d be absolutely perfect for us. The striker described his form as unbelievable this season (Reuters), and he’s not wrong.
Guirassy has bagged a truly incredible 19 goals in just 16 games for Stuttgart so far this term (Transfermarkt).
He is strong in the air, an incredibly powerful runner, has pace to burn and is an elite finisher. West Ham signing Serhou Guirassy for just £15 million this month really should be an absolute no-brainer.
However, it seems like Newcastle could beat us to the Guinea international’s signature in the January transfer window, and that would be really bad news.
