The door could now be wide open for West Ham United manager David Moyes to sign red-hot Serhou Guirassy in January.

West Ham boss David Moyes needs to bring a top quality centre-forward to the London Stadium in the January transfer window, and Serhou Guirassy would be the perfect man for the job.

The Hammers manager has a really strong squad at his disposal but one particular area of weakness is his centre-forward department, and Guirassy is someone who is believed to be on our radar this winter.

The 27-year-old has been on fire in Germany this term, with 18 goals in 14 games to his name so far (Transfermarkt), and is behind only Harry Kane in the Bundesliga goalscoring charts.

The Guinea international is the perfect striker for Moyes’s system, and he’d be a huge upgrade on Michail Antonio.

And now it seems as though Moyes has a fantastic chance to bring him to East London from southern Germany…

West Ham have huge Serhou Guirassy opening

The door may well now be wide open for the Hammers to make their move for the prolific hitman.

That’s because Stuttgart are already lining up a replacement for the 27-year-old in the form of Augsburg’s Dion Drena Beljo, and Bild claim that they’ll be forced to sell him for just £17 million in January.

However, there is a problem for West Ham – AC Milan’s interest in signing the powerful front-man.

That said, Serie A clubs are really struggling with their finances right now, so we should be able to offer Guirassy a more attractive package that Milan.

The striker described his form as unbelievable this season (Reuters), and he’s not wrong.

He is strong in the air, an incredibly powerful runner, has pace to burn and is an elite finisher. West Ham signing Serhou Guirassy for just £17 million in the January transfer window really should be an absolute no-brainer.

The thought of the Guinean lining up in between Jarrod Bowen and Mohammed Kudus with Lucas Paqueta just behind him is a hugely exciting one. Hopefully the owners manage to get this one done in January.
