Tottenham could now pose a real problem for West Ham in the race to sign Club Brugge striker Charles De Ketelaere.

That’s according to Calcio Mercato who claim that Antonio Conte wants to bring the talented 20-year-old hitman to The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in January.

West Ham were recently linked with a move to sign the Belgium international in January (Calciomercato).

David Moyes desperately needs to bring a new attacker to the London Stadium in January in order to provide more competition and cover for Michail Antonio.

It seems as though the Scot may have his work cut out if he is to bring De Ketelaere to East London, however, with Spurs sniffing around the young forward.

Tottenham join West Ham in Charles De Ketelaere race

Antonio Conte will try to ‘snatch’ the 20-year-old from Club Brugge in January according to a report from Calcio Mercato.

That is an obvious blow to West Ham’s hopes of signing him.

The Belgian ace is comfortable playing anywhere along the front-line. He has exceptional technique and is very quick along the ground.

The youngster was described as an attacker with ‘fantastic trickery’ by Eurosport.

The two-capped Belgium international has been in fine form for Club Brugge so far this season, bagging five goals and four assists in 19 games (Transfermarkt).

The 20-year-old is available for around £21 million according to a report from Goal.

That would represent superb value for whichever club wins the race for his signature.

As things stand, there seemingly could be a real tussle for his signature between West Ham and Tottenham.

Let’s just hope that the Hammers manage to beat Spurs to the signing of De Ketelaere, because he will undoubtedly be a very big star in the future.
