Attila Szalai will allegedly almost certainly join West Ham United from Fenerbahce in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Turkish journalist Volkan Agir who claims that the 24-year-old is set for a move to the London Stadium this summer.

Signing a top-class central defender will be one of the main priorities for David Moyes between now and the end of the transfer window.

Nayef Aguerd is currently out injured whilst Angelo Ogbonna is nowhere near match fit. On top of that, Issa Diop seems to be Fulham bound.
And it seems as though Moyes is closing in on bringing in some quality competition and cover for his current centre-backs…
West Ham close to signing Attila Szalai
The Hammers have been chasing the Fenerbahce central defender for quite some time now.
It was claimed that the East London outfit allegedly had a £10 million bid for the Hungarian rejected last summer.
Turkish journalist Volkan Agir claims that the Hammers will ‘certainly’ sign the 24-year-old centre-back in the summer transfer window:
We think that for just £12.5 million, the Hungary international would be a fantastic addition for West Ham.
Szalai really does have absolutely everything that the Hammers need at the moment.
The physically imposing Fenerbahce centre-back seems to be tailor made for the Premier League.
Standing at 6ft 4in tall, the 24-capped Hungary international is an imposing figure. He is incredibly strong, athletic and dominant in the air.
In 32 Super Lig games for Fenerbahce last season, Szalai bagged one goal and two assists. During those appearances, he averaged 1.1 tackles, 1.1 interceptions and two clearances per game (Who Scored).

He made 43.8 passes per match and recorded a completion rate of 81% (Who Scored).
West Ham would be wise to get a deal for Attila Szalai wrapped up asap.
And according to Volkan Agir, the Hungary international joining West Ham this summer is a formality.
We would love to see Szalai at the London Stadium.
