West Ham United allegedly look set to miss out on the signing of Roma ace Justin Kluivert to Fulham this summer.

That’s according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb who claim that the Roma attacker is ‘very close’ to joining Fulham.

West Ham manager David Moyes is allegedly very keen to bring Kluivert to the London Stadium this summer, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (print edition July 7th, page 13).

And it was reported the other day that the 23-year-old is being forced to train alone, away from his teammates as Jose Mourinho tries to facilitate a move away from the Italian capital for the Holland international.

Kluivert would be an interesting option for the East London outfit and signing him could be somewhat of a coup for us.

Moyes clearly wants to add more pace and attacking drive to his front-line this summer. It seems as though Fulham may be set to beat us to the punch regarding the chase for the Dutchman’s signature though…

Fulham could beat West Ham to Justin Kluivert

The Cottagers are very close to signing the Dutchman according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb.

Tuttomercatoweb reckon that Kluivert will be available for around £13 million this summer.

We think that the 23-year-old could be a very useful addition indeed for whichever club eventually wins the race for his signature.

The Holland international, who earns around £55k-a-week according to Salary Sport, spent last season on loan with Nice and bagged six goals and six assists in 31 games (Transfermarkt).

Kluivert has bagged 47 goals and 47 assists in 221 career games (Transfermarkt).

The Dutchman possess plenty of pace, has fantastic movement and is a real threat in behind.

The Roma ace would suit West Ham’s counter-attacking setup perfectly and would provide real competition for the Hammers’ current attacking players.

All Out Football describe Kluivert as a forward with rapid speed and quick feet.

£13 million for a player with Kluivert’s talent seems like fantastic value.

In today’s market, that would be a real steal for the Hammers.

It appears as though Fulham could be set to beat West Ham to the signing of Justin Kluivert this summer, however. Whether he ends up being a hit in the Premier League remains to be seen though.
